First time poster to the forums. I got an A8se light from Aliexpress but the app either doesn’t work or it is just beyond my scope. I even have my friend here to translate the mandarin for me and I’m still lost. I tried using the auto settings and the presets but when I select one I have no idea how to turn it on so it’s set to that preset? If I press the button on the light itself it turns on but god only knows what settings it’s on or what intensity or time. Any advice or help is appreciated

I haven't used the light but I've read the proper app must be downloaded with the QR code in the manual, not from other links on the internet.

I just installed two the A8 Pro II today. The app is a pain, however there should be an option on you profile menu to set language to English.
Have you guys been able to get the AI Pai app for the light to be installed on an Android phone? My Google pixel phone keeps telling me that the app does not meet Android security standards and will not be installed.
I scan the QR code and follow the link to download the app as it's not available on the Google Play store.
When I run the install I get an Android security warning that it does not meet Android security standards and the app will not be installed. Don't know how to get around this

Yes, I had the same issue. Once you download it, you need to Enable the option to allow to install from unknown sources under your system security settings.
Then you might run into an additional error saying that the app was created for an older version, but there will be a small button that looks more like a message that said something around the lines of "install anyway", and you should be able to install it.

.

The app is NOT intuitive at all and it took me a while to figure out, but eventually I got it.
I was planning on making a video on how to do it, but it was a hazard to get it to where I wanted LOL

Any idea what light spectrum the labels correspond to? See the attached image.. What spectrum is Blue1, Blue1, Etc?

Glad to see you were able to install the app.
I wish I could help you with the light spectrum and tell you what each color correspond to what led, but I have no idead myself LOL.

The only thing that I think could probably work is to get the image that the vendor has for the product on the website with the LED distribution and turn them all off and one by one increase it, so if LEDs distribution in the image is accurate, then you would be able to determine which slider correspond to each color...hopefully.

Please let me know if ended up doing it. I would love to know myself.

Thanks

So I reached out to the seller of the lights and he promised to create a video to show me how to program the light and sync multiple lights together. I don't want to get too excited about this, but keeping my fingers crossed that he actually come through. If I can get these things to work, I may actually buy a few more

I have the A8se II Blue, you can try my schedule as a starting off point and adjust from there
Save the photo and then when you are in the light click the 3 lines in upper right. Selcet QRshare and lick scan to have it load the schedule of the QR

They actually sent me some instructions but it's the same instructions that you provided. The only difference is your instructions are actually better lol. I wish these guys would just take this thing serious and make somewhat of a decent app or at least spend some time to write A decent user manual. It turns out one of the two lights I got was actually defective. Sometimes it wouldn't turn on at all. Other times it wouldn't allow me to save any settings to it so I returned it. The one that's left is working great and it's actually following the program that I created using your instructions. I still can't figure out the in and out button and the go and back button and what purpose they serve?

The in an out buttons extends the time to the left (the begging when the lights are turning on on your schedule) making the overall time the lights are on longer.

The back and go buttons moves your whole schedule to be either earlier or later in the day

The amSave Customer button saves your schedule as a template that can be applied later to a second light.

And the save device saves the data/configuration into the light itself.

I haven't play with the moon part or much of any other settings.

I'll try to find some time tomorrow to keep working on the small PDF manual I'm putting together to try to help the community.

So here is the verdict with these AI prime knockoff light....A8SE II Blue lights.
I got a new PAR meter today and decided to take some measurements.
I with the A8SE I Blue and compare that same measurement with the Kessil Ap9X. The AI prime knockoff is giving me a reading of 174 at 24inc below the light. The Kessil Ap9X is giving me a reading of 340 at 24inc below the light. Needless to say The difference is as wide as the Atlantic Ocean. I don't know if I should expect a $200 light to compare with a $900 light. But I would have to get two of these AI prime knockoffs just to get close to the PAR of the Kessil Ap9X
Needless to say I won't be getting rid of my Kissel Ap9X anytime soon.
I would love to see somebody actually compare the A8se I Blue lights with an actual AI prime XR30 light. I've never owned AI prime light so I won't be able to do this experiment

Hi Everyone,

I had the time and finished PDF guide to get the A8 Lights. Here you go. I hope it helps you or someone else in need.

That was extremely nice of you to do. I am an Apple girl but I would think most of the steps will relate to my phone.

Loving the guide thank you so much. I do have a question though, on your write up I saw the ab+ is there a way we can import that map over? If so where did you get it from?
I just received the s8 pro blue and will be trying it out on my lps WB25. Im waiting for my par meter before I actually use it.
Thanks
