i have a couple different types of acan and micros on a rock and have all been thriving and growing new headshots. I noticed one head of an acan looks like sceleton now...

I assume it won’t grown back but will it spread. Could another acan or micro had a little warfare with it? Also, do I need to cut the head out if it’s dead or it’s fine to leave it?

Sorry for the dirty pic but going through a Dino issue and not cleaning the glass as a line of attach.

Yes , you need nice water parameter.
And place it at low light let it recover.
But really take a long time perhaps 2 month.

I have some
Micromussa (sp?) above it with sweepers but I’ve never seen them go against the current. My water parameters were very clean, bottomed out to zero on phos and nitrate this week and I have Dino now ;( I have a Uv which should be here tomorrow to hookup. The rest of my acans are fat and happy. My sps...not so much.

Maybe that's it...the param swings

so dinos are hopefully on their way out and corals look happy again. except this one above still, the bottom head is basically skeleton now and the head above it is beginning to look the same way, worse than in the photo. is this something that can "spread" to other heads, acon colonies nearby? should i take the coral out of the tank and crack off the affected 2 heads or would that just add more stress?
