Acan emitting material

Question - One of my acans emits this thin dark colored material from several of its heads that is about an inch long. It eventually breaks off after a few minutes. It happens every month or so. Does anyone know what this is and why it may be doing it?

LOL well it is brown in color. I usually feed it mysis and brine shrimp when feeding my fish. It gobbles them up pretty good. What do you feed yours?

+1 to this. I think its poop. I feed mine brine and it poops the brownish to reddish color.
