What bulb combo are you using? Those look sick!

Just to get colors to pop a little more.

I see. Colors become more vivid on the actinic spectrum. My concern would be adding too much light and having them bleach out.

Reefledlights. My acans hold deep purples,greens,reds and oranges with no fading. My blue is up to 235 and whites around 180 I think. Maybe 190. Hard to remember where I stopped.

I use all led and the are doing great when they where under just t5 the lost a lot of their brighter colors I would post a pic but app won't allow me tooa

I noticed that my acans flattened and changed color from a ruby red to an orange. This happened right after I switched from T5's to LED's. I added a two bulb T5 fixture to the LED's and placed the acans right below the T5's and the plumped back up and returned to the ruby red color. I have Current Tru Lumen Pro's. They are 4 strips, two of which are atinic blues and two strips of marine fusion, a combination of 1 blue and 2 white in a running series. They are 48" strips on 48"W x 26"D x 22"T tank

I have had my acans under t5 (4 bulb 3xblue+ 1xcoral+)and leds (hydra 26).
I have noticed very little change in color but the corals stand out alot more under the leds.


The three in the middle were taken with a better camera under t5. The one on top and on bottom were under led with my cell camera during the day light part of my cycle because my cellphone camera can not handle the blue lighting at all.


I am planing on doing a hybrid fixture for my next upgrade using 2 hydra 26s and either 2 48 in. T5 ho or 4 for coverage and to fill in any of the spectrum gaps if any

For the led/ t5 combo users....wich leds are you supplementing the t5's with and what is the photo period.
Also what is the intensity percentage. Of the T5's and Led's.
Does anyone have a PAR reading. I will take a reading of mine and try and post a pic.

Acans do great in my tank so I went and got a few. One was on a huge disc so as I popped him off and one of the 3 heads broke off and broke in half. Will it heal or start to die? The two heads are doing great.

So it's been a while and it is healing real well seems to be growing a mouth on both pieces.

I am now using T-5 and my acans love it! I think acans can grow under just about any type of lighting!

When my LED's are done for I amd going back to T5's, I got much better color from them.
