I purchased a ton of LPS and added to my new tank. It is currently still showing .25 (API) ammonia, nitrite (not relevant) and nitrates. For the last two - three weeks since purchase it has been great. Two days ago I added ROE to my feeding regimen (broadcast) and since then it has been completely deflated except for maybe 10% of the day and mouth gaping. It was expelling waste but has since stopped and needless to say looks horrible. My KH has slowly drifted from 10.4 to 9.5 over 11 days from water changes. Is the acanthophyllia stuffed? Dying? KH change? I am at a loss. I have four other acantho, torches, scolymia, trachyphyllia, Lobophyllia, and goniapora all doing great. It certainly seems coral specific. The acanthophyllia was touching a Trachyphyllia but I do not believe it was stung. The mouth has been gaping for essentially 48 hours now.

Parameters as of last night -
Ca - 440
Mag - 1490
Alk - 9.5
SG - 1.026

Pictures before and after using ROE.

Not looking good, try adding some fritz 9 or other bacteria to get your tank in order.
Make sure the lighting is 50-150 par and no more than that.
The worst thing you can do in reefing is to do to much sometimes.

You can try an iodine dip, lugols mild.

126ml of water, per drop of lugols for coral... generally.

I always recommend 6months minimum before adding corals, they just always seem to do better, I've killed a lot of coral not waiting.

Hope it recovers.

Thanks, have used Dr Tim’s and Fritz as well. None of the parameters were off when it started doing this. Considering the price I paid it’ll certainly be a lesson to learn if lost. Nitrates have never been above 20ppm.
