I hooked up a Kalk Stirrer 2 weeks ago and yesterday I was adjusting the mixing flow and forgot I left it manually on. I dosed 3 liters over 10 hour span. The solution goes into an exceptionally high flow area of my sump where it mixes with a wave maker then it travels about a foot before hitting my return pumps. So I am fairly certain it mixes somewhat well. I did notice a slight bit of “snow” in the tank floating around. Within 30 minutes of shutting the stirrer down the snow stopped. I’m not dosing anything else regularly as this set up is in a CARX.
All SPS have PE and enjoying life, the only downside is that my DKH went up about .8, which frankly is no big deal as the lights come on the demand will actually increase today I think as the PH has really jumped.
Normally when I awake the PH is 7.95 - 8.0. It will hit about 8.25 during the day if I don’t open windows. Today when I woke up it’s at 8.32.
That was an interesting accidental experiment.
