For Alkalinity and Phosphate, how much more accurate is Hanna versus Salifert. If I'm doing the math correctly, the regents are like 3-4 times more expensive for Hanna and curious if it's worth it for the accuracy? I'm willing to pay more if it's critical for accuracy.

I've got all three and API is my prefference. Use the one you feel most comfortable using. From what I've seen and read, the reliability of test kits depends more on the aquarist interpreting the results. But reagents can be bad or degrade so if there is any suspected issue I would at least use a second kit to double check results. See my post here:

hanna alk works, but I prefer a titration kit when possible.
hanna PO4 has always been reliable and accurate for me.

I use both from time to time. I think the biggest deal about Hanna is it takes the quests work out of the equation. The Salifert is also very accurate, it just matters how well you can read it.

I have both and found that ALK results are slightly higher (.4-.8 higher to be exact) in the Hanna than both my Trident and Salifert. With phosphates, I prefer to use the Hanna. Not sure if it is any more accurate, but it gives me consistent results.
