About a month ago I bought a small Pink Floyd acro colony from a local reefer. When I got it home, I noticed it had small chunk of green montipora about the size of a nickel attached to it. My immediate thought was "Oh crap, that Monti is gonna start encrusting across my beautiful new acro, I better remove it!" I even made a post on R2R to get advice on the best/safest way to go about removing it.

But I never go around to doing that and just kept an eye on the situation. My money was on the Monti winning this fight.

Fast forward a month, and to my surprise, the Pink Floyd has in fact been ENGULFING the Monti frag.
Pretty cool, never would have guessed this would be the outcome. :)

That's great! Typically, it seems like the acros are more aggressive and win the battles, but the monti will grow fast enough that it just grows around it.

P.S. that pink Floyd looks awesome!
