Just sharing because I've never personally seen this before. This FHC Red Rage is growing plate-like protrusions similar to a plating montipora, with no rock beneath to provide support. I thought it was kinda neat. :)

Lol - that particular colony is long gone, unfortunately. I am in SATX. I'm north of 1604 off 281 in Encino Park. Most of the reef community here uses Facebook. Look for SA Reef Addicts, San Antonio Reefing Equipment, Texas 210 Corals, and San Antonio Coral Classifieds. Only a handful of stickheads here in town.
