acrylic scratch removal kit

where do you guys buy your scratch removal kits from. I have a lite stratch on the outside of my tank and would like to take care of it the cheapest way possible.

Well there is kits like micromesh being the best or rainbow kits... Both kits will work inside the tank full of live stock with no I'll effects... Because yours is on the outside no need for a kit just get some real fine sandpaper like 1000 grit, 2000, on up to the finest you can find most of the time 8000 is it and sand with each one and your done.... Or you can stop at 2000 and use a buffing wheel on a drill with novus #2 or pretty much any car polish and buff it out... Make sure to use a sanding block so your fingers don't dig in and leave a distortion... Hth..;)

I have a black and decker sander and polisher. I assume that will work? It comes with a buffing pad. I guess I can use sand it with 1000 grit then 2000 grit and polish with the black and decker using novus #2?

your LFS should have a kit for around $20, comes with everything you need and can be used several times.

Ya that would prolly work... Oh ya use water when you sand it.. Forgot to mention that lol.. Worse case it might polish it but you can get the little wool wheels for a drill with the attachment for like 5 bucks and they work well...;)
