gonna try and run some AC, no reason really just curious to see if it improves my water quality. I don't have a media bag but I was wondering If I could just stick the pellets in my filter sock that water runs through down into my sumps skimmer section

Use media bags. You dont want the carbon stirred up too much and grinding down with the flow from the drain.

As an alternative, you can use a clean nylon stocking until the media bags arrive. Good luck!
