Should activated charcoal look like this in my skimmer?

Where is the Carbon? did your rinse it first? Did you put it in your skimmer?

just looks like it wasn't rinsed well. I would keep it in a bag or a reactor. It shouldn't be able to tumble as it breaks apart into dust.

Ok. I have it in a bag. I'll take it out of the sock and place it in the drain chamber. Thanks everyone!

It looks like it's getting to much turbulence in the sock causing it to ground down into fine particles. I'd remove it and put the charcoal in a separate bag out of direct flow from the drain.
