A160 with controller
Inkbird controller
MP 10 with battery backup

I have a Damsel and 6 margarita snails
The snails are epic eaters but the tank needs a stable temp.. I haven’t lost one in 6 mos running. I feed pellets and don’t have many small scavengers.. I’ve seen an amphipod and a brittle star months ago

I pull the floss and feed snow on fridays the day before a 2.5G water change
I feed aminos daily 2cc

The MP-10 runs on lagoon mode low, and night mode.
I though about buying a high end controller, but the tank runs too dang smoothe.

Various corals with some cool new ones on the way from the forum

Had a wall made from a guy on eBay... did a great job
We have floss, a small heater, carbon, controller probe, eheim pump, and ATO

Both use the same carbon.. the wife’s beta condo.

Just ordered parts for the return.. will diffuse it and crank up the return a little.

Last pic isn’t mine.. and for some reason I can’t delet it

I love this little tank... best described as a work of art
Was an IM Lagoon fan until it sprung a leak.. never an IM for me again

Thanks for having me.. I like the active market place, wish I had known 3 yrs ago
This is the best reef site on the web without doubt and it’s very active, but more importantly it’s a family site and everyone is just so nice as you will find out.

And if you need to know anything just ask. The depth of knowledge on here is unbelievable it really is.

Nice setup! Many from other forums have migrated here. I am pretty sure NR and R2R do have a partnership of sorts. NR is more of a niche site.

I’ve had big tanks and always felt like a slave.. even the IM lagoon was a lot of work..

One tank I had was rock flowers and over 100 baby’s came one day so I built the ADA..

After raising the young for 3 months I suddenly lost all flowers in both tanks. I have a hunch the the salt I had just opened and mixed was the culprit... then the Lagoon split a bottom seam... god I was ticked, and threw a lot of like new equipment in the garbage.. ready to quit for good!

Anyway..the ADA survived, and I spent time making things simple and just took my time. I’ve fragged the corals several times.. I managed to rescue what I could, bought a few nice corals, and looking forward to a little collection of bouncers

A few updates..

New arrivals come tomorrow so I did a few things I’ve been meaning to..

Added a night light that will run on the new controller..

I replumbed to all slip fittings, and have a strainer ordered for the output end.. increased the volume and lowered the flow. I ordered a new backup pump. (If I’m getting expensive creatures I want more backups and ease of access)

Picked up new coral dip and did a deep clean on the tank.. tested the water prior to the change... I never test my water.

Rearranged and pulling the large rock up front at next WC.. have a Ric left to remove.

A few thing on the list to do..
Make some more room

Let me introduce you to some magical stuff called Kydex...
If you aren’t using it... well...

Setting up the controller...it will only operate the heater, fan, and moonlight. I will do a moonlight build. If you are interested I’m on Nanoreef “reefhound” and have an epic LED and Kydex builds there..

Cleaned all the fans..painted the board, checked all plugs..
The fans kept my 25 Lagoon cool for 2 years.. never cleaned them

You can program them to ramp up 3 speeds based on temp..
The optimal for the battery backup is 70F... our air conditioner is near it set at 70.. they should only go to low and off at the most. I can also string 2 other fans

AND

I have enough overall ports to do the exact same build right beside it

All the wiring done.. I can pull the controller, kick back to program it.

So, the only thing I do daily is feed.. pellets and snow, and aminos.
The tank doesn’t need to be shut down at all.

I really like the damsel, and I’ve had plenty of expensive fish.. this thing looks cool under the light, balances the biology, and attacks the hair on my fingers when I put my hand in.. he attacks the tweezers and bamboo poker stick.
