Did you by chance take PAR measurements before and after adding the bars?

No, I didn’t take any par measurement but I had to reduce the hydra’s output to 50%. It‘s visually very bright.

I wanted to replace my lighting with these. I was gonna order one blue plus and see how they perform. And then eventually get the reef day. The par from readings are on their website. As far as performance to other quality fixtures they're close. But these seem to have a unique spectrum. And I think it's the closest to replacing the look of t5s. As far as i know these are great coral growers and anyone I know that has them are pretty happy. I believe all I'll need is 2 of them for my 20 gallon long. They're cheaper than AI primes. In Canada a AI with a mounting arm is 400 Canadian dollars. So 2 lights would be 800. I can buy two or3 bars for 400 Canadian including shipping. For roughly the same amount of power. And I believe the coverage would be just as good or better since they span the tank left to right. Super excited to try one of these in the new year

I am adding 1 blue plus to my 120. Not hung yet but these things throw the light.
I run Halides, not much difference when their on, but very nice dawn and dusk colors with just 1 bar.
Very old school actinic look imo.
