Hi,
Around a year ago I added a Magma wrass to my tank, wasn't an exceptionally beautiful wrass will few months back when my dominant wrass (rubrimargin) died where many of my wrasses colors improved and they transitioned to make in a matter of couple months (flame, lineatus magma...)
My magma is a much nicer red now but still far from what I see in pics. I scored a second magma last week and wondering if I can have a pair and if that might improve the color on my existing one. Any experience anyone with multiple magmas?
Thanks

The female will turn male and it will not end well. I would not do it. You dont need another magma wrasse for the other one to color up. He may not be fully grown yet and may be one of the more timid ones in your tank. Plus you can't always trust pics you see. Lots are doctored up. Just my .02.

Fairy wrasses almost always transition to male in captivity, regardless of whether there is another male or not. Males of the same species don't coexist in most aquaria.
