Adding Amphipods

If you are getting a mandarin then you should not actively add amphipods to your tank. As mentioned above they will compete for pods with your mandarin.
So how do mandarins not eat babiy amphipods?
not trying to be a smart butt. Just wondering

I don't think my six line wrasse eats anything but pods now and it always fat.. I see my flame hawk nip at a few too... so they're a nice food source for some fish! I dosed like two batches of 100 pods a couple weeks apart from an ebay seller... they arrived 100% alive... that was four months or so ago.. my front glass is covered with the tiny ones constantly.
