Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone had any tips to adding another tang into the tank without causing mayhem (attacking the new tang, chasing, knocking corals over etc). I currently have a yellow tang and a white tail tang that do fabulous together. They are a bit territorial but they do not go any further than a nudge when one is too close to the other. I do have a 220 gallons system and this next tang will be the final tang added into the system. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

In many cases, utilizing a large social acclimation box for a few days helps the established fish get used to the new one without being able to harm it. Releasing the new fish after lights out also helps.

FYI, I have a vlamingi, blue hippo and yellow tang in my 220.

*At one time I had a sohal in place of my blue hippo and yellow. He was a jerk. I finally got him and traded for my blue hippo and yellow*

This sounds like it might help. When I added my powder brown my yellow went nuts. I had to pull my yellow out for 6 days and when I added him back they been fine with each other since then.
