I need to add some more rock to my system and I was wondering if I need to worry about any adverse effects if I add some dead rock. I'm thinking it wouldn't cause any issues because it's dead, but I just wanted to make sure.
Thanks,
Neal

Was it used before? Maybe soak it in some ro/di water for a couple weeks and see if it leeches any nutrients in the water. I would add a little at a time when ready.
