Adding Fish @ Night with Red Light?

When I add a new fish that I'm worried will get bullied I'll feed the tank heavily and turn the lights off, but I do like the red lights idea for observation since fish can't see red. Makes sense, I'll try that next time. Thanks for sharing!
 
I don't go that far, but I do turn off the regular lights and just use ambient room lighting (more or less light using the window shutters) to help alleviate aggression to newcomers.
