Hi

As the title says I am weighing up getting a bunch of various fairy and flasher wrasse.

I'm debating whether it is better to add them one or two at a time to manage bioload or to add them in larger batches to avoid them killing new additions.

I was considering adding 3 in a couple of weeks and maybe another three a few weeks later.

Tank is 88g DT (112 system), has been cycled for maybe 4 months and has 2 fish, a few corals and a bunch of inverts.

Thoughts?

They should get along if QT together. Any later additions will be at risk.

Thanks.
Was going to order form TSM to avoid qt. I could qt observe them but not keen on treating.

How do you mean to qt them together though. If I was planning 6 total are you suggesting I order 6 at once, qt and add them one by one from qt to dt at intervals?

I added 6 Chromis at the same time and let them settle for about a month with some heavy feeding and then pulled them and dropped 5 different Wrasse in the same day.

Wait so did you add the chromis as a temporary measure to boost your ammonia conversion in order to add the wrasses safely?

Hah interesting. So I guess you didn't care if you lost chromis then.

Did it work out?
Worked out great!! Depending on what you mean by losing the Chromis, I actually took them back to the LFS. They gave me $1 credit each hahaa. I had no intention of keeping the 6 chromis long term, it was always my plan to do the swap same day specifically to mitigate any bioload shock
