Hello fellow reefers

I am currently in the process of getting everything together to set up A 125 gallon tank I am in the process of starting to cycle the tank I was just curious about when I should add my macro algae to my refugium/ sump should it before the cycling is finished or right after?

I personally would wait until after the tank has cycled. You'll want to watch your ammonia/nitrate levels change during the cycle. Macro algae will affect both levels. I don't even run the skimmer until the tank is pretty much done cycling.

You will want to wait until your cycle is done and your parameters are more stable :)
