Here is my opinion, first all should have been in qt as the pb will be the first to go if there's ich in the system.
Second add all three at the same time.
I had 11 tangs in my 180g with the only real aggression issue being a convict who bullied a yellow.
My stock list of tangs was the following and each had gotten up to around 5-7 inch each and were in the system for 3 years. Only reason I no longer have them is the texas freeze power outages.
Yellow tang
Koi tang
Lavander tang
Lieutenant tang
Lemon mimic (chocolate) tang
Half black mimic
(Chocolate) tang
Fowleri tang
Convict tang
Powder brown tang
Powder blue tang.

I did this by qt'ing everything, and adding 3-4 at a time. This minimized aggression to any one fish. The convict was one of the last added by the way, yellow being the first tang added, go figure!

Did you have the A. chronixis till it was an adult? If so what did the adult colouration look like?

Yes both mimics transitioned to adult colors with streamers of about 1/4 to 1/2 inch long. Tail, dorsal and anal fins all form a yellow orange edge, the body of the fish takes on a yellowish orange to brown color.
In my opinion very under appreciated, but not the boldest fish in the hobby. These are the best examples of how mine turned out.
Both looked almost exactly the same, only the yellow mimic was a little more noticeably orange vs the half black. The grey body isn't a happy color, that's more of lights going down, just coming on or a stressed fish look.
