OK a week or so ago, my female (I am SURE it was the female) died for some unknown reason. she was about 4 years old.

My existing male, lets say he's a female at this point since he's pretty big, is also 4 years old and the sole clown in the 75 g.

I want to add 3 more clowns, for a total of 4.

How do I go about adding the new to the one? If I buy 3 small clowns and QT them, one of the 3 is bound to become female before adding to the DT with the existing.

A. Should I just bypass QT and put the 3 in the DT?
Note 1: I get all my fish from the same place and I've never had an issue with the fish at all from there.
Note 2: My tank does have ich and I am managing it. See my other thread.

B. Or.. should I try to get my existing clown from the DT and put him in QT before I get the new ones?

It takes months for a clown to change sex, so the male is still a male for now.

What you really really want to avoid is Brookynella, and Velvet, both are fairly common, so you do not want to risk that.

Put all the new clowns and the existing clown in QT
