My current setup is a single Kessil 360X over a 24 inch cube. What was supposed to be a true mixed reef has quickly become a SPS dominant tank. So I have added a T5 hybrid unit to supplement my current lighting. My question is how should I go about gradually adding the T5 into my current schedule. For reference I am currently getting approximately 320 par at 6" below the surface, dropping off to 100 at the sand bed. With the addition of the T5s I am getting 500 par at 6" below the surface and 200 at the sand bed. Needless to say I'm not going to double my lighting over night so what are y'alls thoughts on how to go about this.

As I have a par meter handy I suppose I could turn on the T5s and reduce the LED to a total par that matches my current level then increase the led gradually or alternatively I could leave the LED where it is and add the T5s an hour at a time gradually getting to where I want. Thoughts?

Thanks in advance

When I added T5’s, I started at 30 minutes per day t5 then slowly increased photoperiod. You’ll like the hybrid BTW.
