Advice needed on bleached chalice

I purchased a JF Pink Panther frag from Jason and for months it looked amazing with great growth and great color.

All of a sudden over the last month or so the frag has bleached out over 80% of itself. The coral still eats when i feed the chalice (although very sluggish to respond to food now, seemingly getting worse) and there are some parts of it that are still the original color, mostly along the rim. I do not know why the piece bleached but I do know that some type of bristle or other worm was living "inside" the skeleton of the frag itself and possibly could have been irritating the coral especially when i would feed. In addition, the bleaching began prior to my removal of the worm, but got worse after I removed the worm using a Revive dip (could just be coincidental timing tho). The worm was ejected about 3 - 4 weeks ago.

I have placed it in very low light and low flow but I now see actual tissue recession from the frag so i am thinking about taking more drastic measures such as fragging the colored part (no eyes on the colored parts however). For tonight I was planning on moving the piece to slightly higher lighting to see if the coral might respond any better.

All thoughts and advice and comments welcome, I love this piece and would hate to lose it...

I think you're on the right track. Keep it in low light/low flow and feed it but not everyday. If you see it start to recede much more go ahead and frag it. Good luck!
