I assume this tank is cycling... if so, you’re getting there. You should have no detectable ammonia and nitrite before you put anything in. I’m sure you know that.... didn’t mean to lecture. Although, I haven’t tested those things in a loooooong time. It might scare me. Other than that, I think you’re great! I ish my parameters were that good!

I personally wouldn’t dose anything yet. It’s only two months old,.. and your alk is doing some major from what you’re testing.

My best advice would be to just do water changes every week and let your tank mature a little more and get more stabilisd so you don’t see nitrite and ammonia at all. After it’s more stable then start dosing based on what your consumption is.

im using BRS brand ca,mg, alk.

let your tank mature a little more and get more stabilisd so you don’t see nitrite and ammonia

see i believe this may be it. im confused as to what you mean. the tank was a mature 1 year old system. all i did was move it and added 75 more gallons of water. to me i dont see it as a new tank because its only the additional 75g of water is new, so it should still be a mature tank, or am i confused

I'm not sure what the question is, but I'd stick to the current dosing schedule unless the alk rises above where you want it, then dose less of everything each day. :)

Sorry I missed the part where it was a tank move. How many pounds of rock you have? If all you added was water maybe you can add some more rock to help with the bio filter?

I have been using DYI kalkwasser at the rate of 1 tsp per gallon. I have quite a few corals and they are doing well but I just added 3 more sps frags. For the last few months my Alk has been 9 and my Ca has stayed about 420. My readings today is Alk 8 and Ca still 420. I wonder if I should boost the Alk and dose a higher concentration of Kalkwaser. Thoughts?

I'd watch longer and not respond to every up and down. :)
