Good afternoon,

I’m sorry to bother everyone but I’m having trouble getting the Ind aquatics AF4 feeder hooked up to my hydros. I was told I would be able to use it with the X 10 module. My system currently consists of an X 10 and a XP8 on this tank. I bought the 0 to 10 V connector kit like it said but I’m not sure if I can plug this in to the orange socket on the X 10. I do not have any purple ones on there. Can I do this will work or no? Do i need a different cable or will this not work at all with the x10.
Thanks for your help.
Rob

You need a 0-10v output jack which the x10 doesn't appear to have. The 0-10V connector won't plug into any of the ports on an x10. The orange ports are 12V drive ports and won't work with the AF4. Look at a module X4 which is what I have to plug in my AF4.

It appears only the X4 and the full WaveEngine have the correct port. I have a Launch and the 10V port on it is an in and not an out which is why I had to get the X4

Ok. Thank you. I’ll look into it. Not sure I want to spend another $400 for a module just for this feeder to feed an extra time of day. But I’ll definitely look at it all. Kind of sucks. Thought it was compatible.

The 2 you have do not have the 0-10v inputs either. If you are planning to control flow pumps with Hydros you may need to get a Wave Engine. If so get a WEv2 and it has both 0-10v inputs and outputs you can use. It also has 4 Direct Drive ports you can power and control compatible pumps with. I have 2 of the Octopulse 2's I control with my WEv2. All I needed was the pump only and a adapter cable for each pump. I did not get a Octopulse controller or power supply since the WEv2 power the pumps directly along with controlling them.
