Has anyone else had an aggressive arrow crab? Today alone I have caught him eating a clown goby and now a pompom crab while sitting under his monti house.

Dang. I’ve had them before without problems but this one is just savage. I thought it would be ok being fed shrimp when I feed the eel.

Yeah these guys are very hit or miss. Seen some pick off gobies in the LfS holding tanks! Never had one kill one of my fish though

Depends on the temperament but you can trust any crab to eat anything it can catch and kill

The only crabs that don't kill things are just too small to. On their scale they are destroyers of pods and worms

So far, and I hope it lasts long enough to spare more reef inhabitants, my solution is to keep him well fed. We have frozen scallops that are a part of the eel’s feeding regimen. I’ve used them to keep this guy well fed. I pass him a half a scallop at a time using feeding tongs - he races up to grab the food.

I had one and thought he was SO cute! Until fish started going missing. The last straw was my coral beauty.

He’s still been picking off the odd crab here and there. I caught him with a wrasse a week ago but it looked pretty white already so I’m giving him a pass on that one cause maybe he was cleaning up a dead fish. I don’t know what to do with this thing so it’s still around lol
