So I wanted to convert my 55 gallon fresh water aquarium into an aggressive salt water with mainly a small lion fish and snow flake eel, and was wondering what species of lion fish would work best and what other fish I could put in if any I know this would be a high bioload already

Don't try to feed them for a few days. That makes it easier. I have 2 volitans, puffer, and a panther grouper which are all on frozen food. I trained them using a feeder stick. Once they got used to the stick I started just dropping them in. Hope this helps but just remember meat eaters are messy with water quality so don't overload the system.

If you are gonna get a lionfish in a 55 I would get a dwarf lionfish, fuzzy lionfish, or a fumanchu lionfish. And like David said, dont feed them for a few days and they will take just about whatever you sticpk in the tank.
