1:07 and no new updates since In Transit at 4:32AM in Memphis. Memphis to Montgomery is 5-6 hours depending on how you drive. It should have been checked in by now. The tracking info makes absolutely no sense to me...

I just learned something about how UPS does scans, which makes things very confusing, FedEx may do the same, which may explain the crazy tracking info you see for your package.

At UPS they have physical scans and logical scans. Physical scans are when someone physically scans a package. The logical scans show when a package should arrive. So lets say your package was shipped on a Thursday and should arrive on Friday by 10am. Once your package reaches a certain point in its travels, when you track the package on the web it will show delivered at 10am, even though it hasn't been but is estimated to have been delivered.

I got into a big argument with woman at UPS where I pick up my parts (I work for HP and we get our parts overnight to us). My package showed delivered at 7:30am according to their website, so I drive down to pick it up, no package yet. That's when she explains the physical/logical scanning thing. My package should have been there at 7:30am (logical scan) but because of problems with the airplane it didn't get offloaded right away and was delivered late.

If you ask me, seems pretty shady. Almost like a way to get out of paying for packages that don't arrive on time. I'm still wondering if she was supposed to tell me about that. Hopefully you can follow what I was saying! :D

Well, no updates since In Transit yesterday aftrernoon at 3:33 PM from Memphis. Someone's probably in for a big surprise when they open that fruit cake this year...

sorry to hear about that Gary, I had a shipment a while back from a guy in NJ that fedex messed up that had about 500 dollars worth of LE sps in it. I got ahold of the main guy in Memphis and he said they had a plane broke down, the guy who was shipping it to me got ahold of someone and they told him it wasnt their fault that it was flooded in memphis, it wasnt even raining down here they just lied to him to get out of responsibility. I had the guys name that told me the airplane had broken down so the person who lied had to eat their words. FEDEX SUCKS!!! I have had great luck with DHL but they are not available everywhere. Best of luck with the corals, but it doesnt look good right now.

This is the reason I will not schedule a delivery for Friday. It's just too risky for me.

Hope you're able to salvage some of them.

Jack

Gary, LMK when you have a different carrier lined up. I'll ship out a replacement package. I won't have all the same frags but I'll do what I can.

Sorry-internet went out for a couple of days. They are sending someone out tomorrow;). I just happened to open Outlook by habit, and everything is working again.

Well, the SPS and the mycedium didn't fare well (setosa looks like it is still hanging in there, but the others are goners). The other chalices and Cephastrea's look fine, though. I was pleasantly surprised when it wasn't a total loss. The sunset and gold bonsai hurt, but it could have been a lot worse. I guess it must have sat in a somewhat conditioned area. It's been getting cool at night (freezing mark), but moderate uring the day, so I guess that saved them. I don't know what happened exactly with the tracking info, but it looks like it made a trip fro Ca to Tn, then a trip from CA to Tn, then Tn to Tn, then Tn to Al...

well well well....my package also got stuck at memphis.
moral to the story
"Ask the FedEx staff if the plane will
stop at Memphis prior to shipping, if they said yes,
I'll be like heck no".
