AI Axis pump - is DC controller a common failure?

I have the actual pump. It is a TMC pump and it has been very reliable. I believe it’s the controller that is the problem.

I knew that AI just took an existing Chinese pump and added the controller. I didn't remember the brand so thanks for that info. Do you know if the controller is just the inline component between the power supply and pump or does it have any embedded components in the pump. I doubt that it does.

My pump decided after a few days off to start working again so I would assume there's a heat issue with the controller or some other problem with a component in the controller. It sure as hell doesn't make me feel confident that I can rely on it.

I don’t know components very well but the pump is very basic, appears only to be a motor and the controller does all the work.
I have Nero wave makers and they always have issues with the controller also…
