This is a PSA that hopefully will save you some time if you are purchasing this light and mounting it with the arm over the tank instead of hanging like I am. If you are going to purchase the mounting arms to mount individual lights using this, https://topshelfaquatics.com/products/hms-single-light-mount-kit-aqua-illumination, then you must also purchase this adaptor to go along with it, https://topshelfaquatics.com/products/hydra-edge-44-hd-hms-adapter-kit-aqua-illumination.

To be honest its a little annoying that I'm having to purchase a $45 adapter for the $75 mounting arm for the $400 light that I just purchased. Then multiply this x2 since I purchased two of everything, and it gets kind of silly. It seems that AI should create a bracket for this individual light. Understandably, not very cost-effective from their end, but also not very customer-friendly.

Great information! Hopefully this will help someone else in the same situation.

Bringing this back because yeah, this is obnoxious. And it's not just that you have to buy extra stuff, but you have to multiple extra things and now you're trying to figure out "Do I have everything or still missing a kit?" This is stupid.

I'm trying to set up the double arm mount right now and am confused if I even have the right adapter kit. Instructions say to feed an extension cord through the mount and attach to the power supply - but there is no extension cord of any kind inside the kit I got, though the brackets look like the photos in the instructions. So now I don't know if these are outdated instructions (which happens A LOT I have noticed) or if I got the wrong kit because, I'm afraid, there are several! This is ridiculous. 😡

I've quietly resigned to just custom making my own mounts. end goal is when I'm in my permeant place of res i will be wiring hanging like an art installation.

Since I'm not great at DIY, I am resigned to complaining a lot! And right now, I want to speak to the AI manager. 🤣
