AI Nano light questions

Hey Guys,

I just picked up an AI nano light for my 8Gallon. My friend was selling it for $150 so I said why not.

Heres my question.

If I want to control the lights manually can I just buy the AI director? Or do I also have to buy the AI "New" controller as well?
