I have a 75g tank with mostly softies and a few nems was wounding if 14-15” off the waterline would be ok my light settings are around mid not blasting them I like the color setup of mid settings.
Here’s what I’m running but with whites added what’s the highest I could raise then and corals still grow

I have 1 AI Prime on a 20g cube. Sits approx. 10" off the waterline.
My settings are:
UV 90
V 90
RY 70
B 70
G 7
DR 7
ML 0
CW 20

They come on at 8am ramp up until 9:30 then on until 5pm when they ramp down until 6:30.
I don't know if this is "right" but I'm sticking with it for now.
I wouldn't think 1 AI prime would be enough for a 75g.

Just to give you an idea I have a 16HD over a 4g that is at 65%-85% depending on the color with 5% whites and 2% red and green. Zoas and a acan at the moment. Want to add a RFA or two in the future.

If you only have 1 puck for a tank that size then its not gonna be enough for the nems bc they usually need high par - 200+

The softies won't care and can be good with 50PAR.

If you only have the 1 puck then I would assume spread will be a big issue. Ie, the edges I don't think will even hit the 50 par range and even the spotlight directly under the light will not go above 100PAR

Either getting a par meter or rent one from BRS/LFS would be the best thing I can recommend for you to ensure long term health and success for your tank.

No hurt in trying either and see how the corals react. I run my primes 14” off my 70

I think 3 over a 75 will be fine. If you want SPS you might have to keep them higher in the tank. Seen several 65g or so tanks on other groups running the primes pushing 90%-100% or just above and they look great.
