Looking to grow LPS corals. I’ve watched the BRS video on lighting different depth tanks but wondering if anyone has 24” deep tanks and could let me know your AI Prime 16HD settings. Should I be running the top 4 channels as high as they can go? I’ve read about these lenses burning. Thanks!

Personally I would try to keep it around 90% or below, to avoid the lenses issue. But honestly very hard to say, better to have a PAR meter. The height of the light affects the PAR, any buildup on water surface affects it, etc...

I have that light on a 15 gallon, 12" deep, and 18" wide, I have it on 80%. Everything grows towards the middle of the tank, it drives me nuts. This light has a very narrow light beam, so you might perhaps benefit from another one on a 36" wide tank.

This is 2 16hds on my 18" nano cube .
Firsr 4 100%
Rest 50%
1hr up/down
10hrs peak.
This grew acros on the bottom and went from day one to this in 10 months.
Only 18" deep but it would have no issues growing lps and such at 24", imo.

When you say the rest at 50%, are you running your red, green & white all at 50?

I run three of these lights roughly 11" above water surface on my 36" 22 gallon. My light schedule is everything at 75% except for red and green at 5%. I run a 9 hour cycle with a one hour ramp up and down. Here is my thread if you want to take a look.

I just watched a reef bum live stream stating coral will grow and color up under full spectrum better, And that running just blue throughout the day will not give the best growth.

LOL, this is one of the frustrating things about this hobby! I have read/watched videos about these AI prime HD16 lights, trying to create the ideal environment for my tank and ALL of the research I've done points to using the green & red spectrums very sparingly. BRS TV and on and on. I'm very interested in learning why you are successful bucking the system! P.S. your aquarium looks amazing!
