Guys,

Thinking of making this my next light. I've been using the Kessil 360XE with dongle and what a colossal headache this wifi system is (constantly loses connection).

As much as I like the Kessil light; I have to have a reliable system in terms of operation with regards to the health and welfare of my livestock.

Anyways, how reliable is the AI software with respect to controlling the light wirelessly? Does the Android platform play nicely with AI's software?

Thanks for the help!

I had an 16 on a small tank. Worked great thru the app. iPhone. Once it was set I never messed with it .

Thanks.

Love the fit and finish of the Kessil products (they're the Apple of reef lights IMO), but their controllers seriously kneecap the product lines which is a shame considering how expensive these lights are.

They are pricey. I have now replaced 8 of my 9 lights. I had the old 360’s and 2ea 350’s. Now I have the shorty 360’s . They have the newer controller.

I have been running the AI 16HD for roughly 5 years now. I'm using Android and the app works great and is super easy and intuitive. I wouldn't have any worries about making the purchase if that's the route you want to go. I have had to replace the lenses in the past when I was running higher percentages on the diodes, but turns out I didn't need to have the lights dialed up that high anyway. Since I've lowered them I haven't had a problem since. I did hear something about AI fixing the lens problem, but have never confirmed that.

I ran 16hds on 3 systems, 18" nano cube, 30g, and a 45 frag system. App is simple to use and if you keep intensity at 100% or less the lens don't melt.
Currently have one 16hd on my 13g hospital tank.
Current 13g and old 18" cube.

Very Dependable. Resets immediately after a power outage. However not a huge amount of Par. Great for LPS
