Aiptasia with superglue?

If you can get the rock out of the water it would be easier to try—although there are other effective methods to use if removed from the tank. My favorite involves a chisel and a small hammer.
I would be interested to know how well that works…I might have to try it. Last time I tried to eliminate the aiptasia colony in my tank, I took the rock out and scraped and scrubbed it…but it still survived!!!!

Aiptasia X always worked for me w/o disrupting anything in tank with a little patience. Sometimes a 2nd application is needed on bigger ones. My tank is free, and I just have to be sure I don't introduce any back from new stuff.

I had a mini zoa rock frag with a baby aiptasia living inside of the rock. I glued up all of the sides of the mini rock so there was nowhere for it to poke out of.
I think that killed it/sealed it off. Might work for you!

I would just use specifically branded aiptasia killers or even better, an aiptasia predator.
Nudibranches specialize in it, some fish will have no issues grazing them, and a specific type of peppermint shrimp are cheap and (sometimes) effective. I've also heard of using lemon juice or vinegar but research that a little bit first.
Don't do anything out of the water that can create a vapor (such as burning or boiling), you can make you or even others in the house very ill from airborne toxins not just from the aiptasia itself but microfauna around it too.
When I had an aiptasia outbreak I did... literally nothing. It just bloomed and went away on its own after a couple months. Even when my 29 gal was new and I had a frag come in completely covered in aiptasia they just never took off, they vanished with no predators or treatment.

If you're going to try superglue, just make sure its superglue 'gel' or more specifically cyanoacrylate, the same stuff our coral glue is made out of just less expensive because... its not branded to saltwater.
Nothing really works unless you have natural predators. My 15 gallon tank lost the war lol. Aiptasia X only increased the population. Superglue didn't work either. If it doesn't immediately kill them. They will just send out new ones.
I started with 3. 2 weeks later its about 30+.
Seems to me like a lot of people are dealing with them right now. All my local stores are infested with them.
