I saw one aptasia growing on my rock could this be a problem?

What should I do? I have a copperband in there if that helps.

Would adding a peppermint shrimp help?

Kill the single but definitely keep a eye out for more. I had one that turned into several over a couple months. Eradicate them as soon as you can before they become a problem. No need to buy any peppermint shrimp unless you really want to.

each time I found one I'd pull the rock it was on, dig out the spot, hit it with peroxide...this went on a couple of months and eventually they were all over the place and in spots that I couldn't get to...at the time my LFS said peppermints were out of season and he couldn't get any...berghias took care of them...maybe feed a little less and see if the copperband takes a liking to them?

No need to go through all that work. I've found injecting them with vinegar to be extremely effective.

If you truly only have one it may be that your CBB is actually eating them. I would keep an out on it to see if it disappears then you have nothing to worry about. As others have stated, where you see one there are many more unless you have predation going on.

You have a CBB, hopefully it will take care of it.

I've had good luck using Joes Juice. The really important part of target killing them with any product is turning off all the flow 5 min prior to treatment, and to leave flow off at least 15m after.

The product needs time to work and kill it, and you don't want it blowing all over the tank.

You can also use F-Aiptasia or Aiptasia-X to get rid of them if your tank is not big enough for a CBB

Another option I had success with In the past. If you use happen to use kalk, mix up a tiny amount that’s thick like Elmer’s glue and use a syringe, without the needle, and squirt that on it. Cover it good. May need to turn off power head. They shrivel up and died almost every time. the kalk dissolves in a bit. Probably similar to vinegar but basic instead of acidic and thick so it stays for a bit. I didn’t have many but if left untreated they can get bad and spread quickly.

I poke them to get them to retract and then cover it with superglue gel

I use white vinegar. The same that you can carbon dose with. I draw some up in a insulin syringe and stab them with it. If they retract the needle is small enough to get in the crevasse. Sometimes it takes a couple attempts but has worked well for me.
