Hello reefers!
I have bought a Aqua Medic Armatus 375XD reef tank last december. Since middle of july I have started the tank. Today I noticed an air bubble in the seam on the left side. Its located above the water line. I am pretty sure the bubble didnt exists since the beginning. Do i have to worry about it?

Thanks in advance!

Best regards
Patrick

Man, assumed this was going to be a Red Sea post. That is the same place mine bubble and it got progressively worse over a year or so and I decided to replace it.

I didnt buy Red Sea because of the horror storries. But its an Aqua Medic tank. You owned a red sea tank?

Yup, I had a 525XL and it formed a bubble in the same spot at almost exactly six years. I got a UNS150R now (love it btw).

I would reach out to the manufacturer since its less than a year old.

Hmm… if this has actually been there the whole time and just got noticed, I’d be inclined to point to manufacturing error! I see that the left side of the “bubble” looks suspiciously like the edge of a squished-out silicone bead… potentially a case of applying too little silicone in that area during assembly, then wiping the whole length of that seam (tooling) on the tank interior to spread silicone over the mistake area…

— given that this tank appears to be rimless (thus lacks any form of reinforcement to help hold that top corner together), I agree that reaching out to the manufacturer seems prudent!
