I found this algae growing on the back of an old hermit crab shell and let it keep going for the fun of it. Now is actually grown a decent bit and was hoping someone could help me ID it. Is it just some form of green hair algae?

A more close up pic might help. Looks to have more structure than GHA. Guessing some kind is macro, but can’t see enough detail.

I have had algae Mis-identified by lfs and not really up on the different ones, but I would certainly look into briopsis. Not saying it is, but if it is, not a lot of things eat it or eliminate it easily. I would probably they to get it off of him so it doesn’t spread. Just my two cents.
