Hello all,

My algae blenny is not eating, is swimming in circles and looks lethargic.

All other fish and corals are fine and water parameters are as follows:

Salinity: 1.025
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 0-1 (trying to raise this)
Phosphate 0.1
Ammonia 0
Ph 8.0

Any help would be gratefully appreciated as I don't want to lose him!

Hi! We are here to help!!

How long have you had this fish for? Are there any hiding areas in the tank as it is? Have you noticed any of the other fish potentially bullying him?

There could be a laundry list of issues here, but by process of elimination hopefully, we can get to a useful answer!!

Plenty of hiding places and no bully's in the tank, sumped two three striped damsels a long time before this fish entered the tank! Had the fish for 5 days now!

Hmm five days is very recent. Do you know if he has eaten since you have gotten him. Sometimes lawnmowers are very picky and will only eat film algae. What have you been trying to feed? What is the temp in the tank?

Yes it is! LFS said to not worry as its very recent.

Tried frozen mysis, copepods and brjineshrimp, a variety of pellets, flake food (algae and meat) and nori. Doesn't seem interested at all but have found it lying down on algae pellets usually at night.

Temperature is 25.5 degrees and stable as I'm using the Inkbird.

I would try and leave it be for the time being. It sounds like it is stressed out from the move and the new environment as I see that happen often with newcomers. As long as there is some sort of film algae to it then food shouldn't be an issue. Good luck my friend!
