I posted a tank thread yesterday but I did not see any reaction so just wanted to post this, as I feel that this idea I take full credit for works great. I use plastic boot/ shoe trays and cut them to fit to block light. I considered the plastic leaching something, have been watching my coral carefully as I feel they react to changes more rapidly then fish. Anyway the back glass is fully covered , and have two pieces laying on the top to stop the light. The main reason I do this is because the glass used to get hair algae groth , and when cleaned floats around and lands on t
he coral, and sand making a big mess. Now zero. Also you cant see it looking at the front
