Hi all, looking for advice. My tank is 220G up and running for 6 months. I had a battle of Dinos at month and beat them back raising nutrients and UV. Then came the hair algae with higher nutrients. Now nitrate and phosphate keep zeroing out again but the algae keeps growing. I test daily, dose N and P only to have it read 0 0 by the end of the day. I dose to 3ppm N and .025 P daily as I dont want to algae to go nuts but it wont die off. Any advice on how I can stabilize the nutrients without the algae taking off?

Dry rock and dry sand. Fish include Yellow Tang, Magnificant Fox Face, Starry Blenny, 2 clowns, a chalk bass, red cardnial, and a citron goby. Over 50 snails. I feed 2 to 3 times a day and I turned off the skimmer. Nitrates go down more slowly than the Phosphates. They go right away. I have a few LPS corals and they are growing. I just dont want the dinos to come back as that was miserable. Do I dose to a much higher N and P and see how much is gone after 8 hours and then start daily dosing off of those calculations to maintain some low level?
