The little “shelves” that the polyps come out of are beginning to get covered in a brown algae like substance. The rest of my acros look fine and are growing, but there are 2-3 frags that are having this problem. It seems to be on the side where the light is hitting directly, the other sides are perfectly fine with good PE. I doubt it is due to high PAR because these pieces are in roughly 250-300 PAR. Parameters are fine.. any help would be greatly appreciated!

By the looks of it you have burned tips. The sides where this is happening are most likely getting to0 much light causing the burn to occur. Where you see the algae growing is the parts that have died. Algae will not grow on the live tissue of the acros. I would recommend dropping the light intensity on those pieces so that they do not get burned any more.
