I have an algae that I’ve never seen before in my years of this tank and seems to be the only algae that grows in here. Nitrates in the 2-3 range. It looks like little feathers. Can’t find any information about it when I try to look it up on the internet. Any solutions for getting rid of it besides hand removing which I do almost every week?

Colonial hydroids, probably Macrorhynchia sp.?
Macrorhynchia clarkei (Clarke's Hydrozoan) and Macrorhynchia filamentosa (Smoky Feather Hydroid) look similar.

Nutrient control, etc. won't get you far. You will need to properly treat the rock. If you can take it out I would nuke it with hydrogen peroxide followed by a bleach bath.
