Algae ID- chaeto?

So about 2 weeks ago my first little clump of chaeto accidentally got sucked into my return pump and pulverized, have a new one growing well now, waiting for cycle to finish I'm in the last stages post diatoms. This stringy cheato looking algae started in a few spots in DT.

Well I'm not the algae expert, but after zooming in with my phone it does look like Cheato.

I agree, It does look like Cheato to me as well.

So strange. Never saw it grow from the rock like that.

Yeah a bit strange, it must be lodged into a crack/crevice and the flow is causing it to be stringy instead of clump. At least this is my best guess :)
