algae ID, microscope picture

anyone can help ID this? not quite sure what it is, microscope is "el cheapo" brand. Looking at different pic but I m not very good at that. thanks

Just by looking at the cells @taricha, I am struck by the high regularity of the arrangement and stacking of the cells. The macroscopic view does not help much. I am leaning towards a disk or sphere shaped cyanobacteria, although Chrysophytes (wrong color though) and algae (no visible organelles though) can also form macroscopic structures.

Whoa, those look laid down in a pattern almost like scales.
I vote some kind of cyano as well.
