Happy Saturday reefers

I have a light purple branch algae that hitchhiked on my Feather Duster tube. I read somewhere that Feather Dusters don't like algae on their tubes however, something tells me this algae isn't harmful and perhaps even beneficial. Can anyone shed some light and/or ID? Any info appreciated!

Yes to white light.

Not sure who told you feather duster don’t like things touching their tube; I would be cautious about advice from that source.
