Hi all,

These look like dinos to me, but I am unable to find them under a microscope. I also am not sure I am using the microscope correctly honestlyAll I see is something that looks like 4 cylinders connected in a square pattern.
I only notice these on new frag plugs. Doesn’t appear else where in the tank.

I had a small cyano outbreak on the sand bed in October. It was completely gone by early November.

So a bit of background real quick.

Tank: 60 gal 10 months old
Nitrate: 19.1 to 13.8 ppm weekly.
Phos: average .1ppm fluctuates about %50 from day to day.
Dkh 10 fluctuates .3 daily
Cal 475-500
Mag 1410
NOPOX Carbon dose .25 ml daily
Algae barn phyto 30ml daily
Phyto feast 1.5 ml daily (started a month ago)
Red sea AB+ 6ml each daily
8-9 hour photoperiod with led/t5 hybrid

Feed schedule

Rods food morning size of the tip of your thumb.

cyclone-pods mid day from hikari

evening is usually a cube of mysis, brine, or other popular frozen food.

I skim wet and have a refugium to help with the mandarin goby.

Frag Plugs with possible dinos. No dinos are on “dirty frag plugs”

Is this something I should be concerned about. I bought microbacter7 this afternoon in hopes to improve bacteria diversity and outcompete if those are dinos.

Dinos and time to go to war !
Prepare for a water change and blow this stuff loose with a turkey baster and siphon up loose particles.
Turn lights off for 5 days and st night dose 1ml of hydrogen peroxide per 10 gallons for all 5 nights
During the day dose 1ml of liquid bacteria (such as bacter 7) per 10 gallons.
Clean filters daily and DO NOT FEED CORAL FOODS OR ADD NOPOX as it is food for dinos.
Day 5,, you can start with blue lights and work your white lights up slowly

Phyto from @AlgaeBarn is riddled with Dino’s. Never had a problem until I used Algae Barn Phyto in 2019 and had a major Dino outbreak. Used it again this year and had another Dino outbreak. This stuff is garbage.

Also my rocks are 8 yrs old and the tank is 3+. Never had Dino’s until immediately after I used Algaebarn Phyto. I thought I was helping my corals but both times resulted in an outbreak that cost me $$$$$. If @AlgaeBarn has anything to say about this, they can send me a check for $1,000 to remedy the corals I’ve lost and money I’ve spent trying to recover...
