Hi! Im having algae issues and was thinking of adding chaeto to help lower nutrients. I have a 20 gallon cube waterbox with no sump.

Would i be able to pop a ball of chaeto in my display tank to help? Do i need a special light? Or will the one i have now work. Its an Ai prime 16

Sure you can. Chaeto does grow fast and tends to break into small pieces. If you don’t mind the the small pieces, clean them up or contain the Chaeto somehow, it won’t hurt a thing. Some people don’t like the look of the Chaeto in the display, others like the look. I don’t mind any macro algae in my display as long as it is not taking over.
